Last night I had some casual drinks with some very cool people.
It was so nice to spend time with old friends and meet cool new ones.
Long live nights filled with homemade pizza, good company and board games.

Finance.

I am are sitting near the back of my finance class after rushing in ten minutes late. There is a timid first year sitting next to me. The first words I register are-

"Fifty percent of everyone in this class will fail, look at the person next to you. It's you or them."

"It has happened, several times before, that students fail three times and are, therefore, kicked out of their major"

"Most of you will cruise through the semester work, then fail the exam and remember you must pass the exam to pass the unit"

I am also informed that the $200 text book is a must for a minimum pass grade and the course requires a $100 calculator. I'm starting to think this unit was a really bad idea. Then I remember it's a pre-requisite. I have to persevere. Damn. I begin to wonder what I'll do. What is my plan of action? What are my options? How will I survive this ghastly unit?

1. Do as I've always done and get by on the class notes, get the book from the library and read-up online.

2. Buy the book I'll never look at again after November. Then bargain with myself that I can always use the calculator as a vintage artwork in twenty years. Proceed to cross my fingers and hope that vintage will be cool again by then..

3. Withdraw. Do it next semester. Surely things will look better then?

When I come out of my thoughts I realized I've missed half the lecture... Hmm. Maybe I should just pay attention and make it to class? If I go surely it will be less stressful and I'll somehow absorb the knowledge in some osmosis like way....

Haha... Let's see how long it lasts...

boredom.

Sooooooooo bored.

Woke-up late. Raced to Uni. Sat in class for 20min. Attempted to fill a 2.5hr break with fulfilling study. Realised I have yet to learn any content from my units. Gave up. Found myself online and hour later.

Still very bored.

On a higher (higher!!!!!!!) note, I am going to the caberet downstairs at His Maj tonight! Wooo!

Thank-you family up the hill. Not only did you give me an awesome boyfriend. You are now taking me on extra fabulous adventures!!

I really wish that newly cut hair feeling would stick around for longer. My hair never turns out as nice as the hairdressers do it :o(

It's overcast today. Also the weather man can't decide if he wants it hot or cold.... How annoying.

I dislike working before an afternoon at University. I like to be well rested. I like to spend the morning getting everything ready for the day.

Today however I filled in a few hours to help my boss out. This was fine until I got cash out whilst purchasing my lunch and left it at the shopping centre. No-one handed it in. Surprising.

Then I drove all the way to the other end of town for class. I needed an exercise book that I forgot to get earlier (as I was at work). After purchasing one from my University's book shop I realised I had only bought a 2-subject version instead of the 5-subject version I wanted. After walking all the way back to the book store, thinking simply switching the books over would be an easy enough task, I was in no nice manner told by the lady behind the desk it was 'negligent for me to not pay better attention when buying stationary' and 'there is no way I can return that'.

Well. Aren't. You. Just. Lovely.

Who can't trade a text book over? It's the same price! Same shape! Same everything, except one has five different coloured tabs.

Grr. I know lawyers you know.
